Pelvic Therapy is an advanced area of practice for Occupational & Physical Therapists, requiring specialized training. This specialty addresses common issues related to the pelvic bones, muscles, nerves and organs. Our pelvis and pelvic floor are an integral part of how we function in daily life, including how we walk, breathe, use the bathroom, play sports, participate in intimacy, have babies, and more! Everyone has a pelvic floor, and everyone can be effected by pelvic floor dysfunction. Pelvic floor dysfunction can lead to issues like back pain, sciatica, abdominal pain, incontinence, constipation, and sexual dysfunction.
All genders, ages, and stages of life are welcome here. We love working with parents (or parents to be), teens, athletes, older adults, and even kids.
We treat all pelvic health conditions. Here are just a few examples: pelvic organ prolapse, urinary incontinence, constipation, pelvic pain, endometriosis, pre/postnatal issues, pregnancy wellness and labor preparation, Diastasis Recti, SI joint/low back pain, bladder pain/IC, peri/menopause symptoms, and more.
We primary treat in person at our Burlington, VT office, but we are happy to offer virtual consults for those that are out of town!
